McDonald’s fries are made with beef extract.

This isn't even something they're trying to hide. The nutrition facts for the fries mention that they have a "natural beef flavor". Strangely enough, the fries also contain wheat and milk.

This was actually the subject of some controversy in 2001. A class action suit was filed against McDonald's for causing emotional distress to vegetarians who mistakenly ate the fries without knowing that they contain beef.

A 3 month old baby starved to death because her parents were raising a virtual child.

This is sick. A couple in South Korea starved their prematurely born daughter by feeding it only once a day. Yet they somehow made time to go to the local internet cafe for 12 hours a day so they could take care of their virtual child.

They both didn't have jobs, and they spent almost all their time online because they were addicted to the internet. They have since been arrested. Here's the full story.

No matter how nice the hotel room you get is, there will probably be urine and semen stains in it.

In an ABC News Primetime investigation, producers discovered bodily fluid stains in ALL 20 hotel rooms surveyed, no matter the price. Most of these stains are not visible to the naked eye, but they were found everywhere – on the beds, carpets, walls… even on the Bible!

Despite the alarmingly gross results, these stains are completely harmless – no microbes are growing on them because they are dried and sterile. Fortunately, the survey’s results convinced many of the hotel managers to train their cleaning staffs to use black lights!

Wealthy Chinese families used to hire strippers for funerals.

This unorthodox way to mourn the deceased has its roots in a Chinese custom to believe that the quality of the deceased’s afterlife is based on their funeral attendance! However, authorities began cracking down on this unusual practice. Funeral strippers have been arrested and Chinese citizens can report "funeral misdeeds" to a government hotline for a monetary reward.

Strippers are not the only quirky funeral ritual in China, though! The Chinese choose to wear white instead of black, which would seem quite strange to Westerners. Mourners have also been known to crash cymbals and set off fireworks during the funeral procession!

Chicken McNuggets and breast implants share a common ingredient.

That ingredient is Polydimethylsiloxane, an "anti-foaming agent” that can also be found in hair conditioners, caulking, and Silly Putty!

Strangely, the McNuggets in a British McDonald's don’t contain this ingredient. American McNuggets are coated before they are cooked, while the British McNuggets are cooked before they are coated. They also contain less oil and fat.

There are Penguin Prostitutes.

Penguin females have been observed trading sex for stones! These stones are valuable to females because they are necessary for building nests. Male penguins are known for being monogamous, so it is these females that venture off to make some rocks by making some beds rock!

They typically target single males in order to avoid unnecessary complications, however scientists believe the intercourse is not merely for the stones because females would need to copulate with hundreds of males in order to build a decent nest (they only take 1-2 stones each time, and a nest requires hundreds!)

Scientists theorize that the females may be testing future mates in case their current partners happened to die.

No word yet on whether there are penguin pimps.

A restaurant in Memphis serves burgers that have been fried in 98-year-old cooking grease.

Dyer’s Burgers is located in on historic Beale Street in downtown Memphis, Tennessee. Their claim to fame is that their burgers are fried in the same cooking grease that has always been on the eatery’s grill! They strain the grease on a daily basis, but they never throw it out, so the odds are good that customers are eating burgers cooked in grease that is several decades old!

Some hair bands manufactured in China are made of recycled condoms.

Supposedly the condoms are unused rejected ones, but it's not clear whether or not they were repurposed after having served their originally intended function. In that case, this could lead to the spread of disease.

According to government regulations, the prophylactics (technical term for condoms) should have been sent to a plastics factory and broken down first. Instead, the rubbers were just inserted directly into the center of the hair bands in their original state. When some women took their hair bands apart, they found out what they were made of.

A chapel in the Czech Republic uses 40,000-70,000 human skeletons as decoration.

The most prominent decoration is a gigantic chandelier made from at least one of every bone in the human body!

The Sedlec Ossuary is a small Roman Catholic Chapel located beneath the Cemetery Church of All Saints in Sedlec, Czech Republic. In the late 13th century, Henry, the abbot of the neighboring monastery, took a pilgrimage to Jerusalem by order of the king of Bohemia.

Upon his return, he sprinkled dirt from Golgotha (the hill on which Jesus Christ is said to have been crucified) upon the Sedlec cemetery – which is the reason this site became an extraordinarily popular burial location.
